We are excited to report that on July 6, 2019, Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer entered a judgment in favor of Case Law Firm client, Jessica Hernandez, and awarded her nearly $230,000 in damages stemming from her pregnancy discrimination claims against her former employer, the Katz Law Office.

To read more about the case and the Court’s decision to enter a judgment in Jessica’s favor, check out the ABA Journal’s coverage of the judgment here.

We could not be happier for Jessica, who managed to pick herself up and put her life back together after being knocked down at an extremely vulnerable time.  It shouldn’t have had to be this way, but she was at a job interview just four days after delivering her baby and she has not slowed down since.  In fact, in the last year, in addition to working a full time job and raising a toddler (which I think we can all agree is a full time job of its own), she hung her shingle as a solo practitioner immigration and family lawyer and we wish her all the best luck going forward!  If you or anyone you know is in need of her services, you can find her contact information here.
